Nick Cave: Forothermore

“I know that I am here to use art as this vehicle for change. So, I have to somehow come up with ways of working that sort of breaks down these divisions.” —Nick Cave

The “Nick Cave: Forothermore” exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City covers the entire breadth of the artist’s career, and features sculpture, installation, video, and rarely seen early works. The exhibition title is a neologism, a new word that reflects the artist’s lifelong commitment to creating space for those who feel marginalized by dominant society and culture—especially working class communities and queer people of color.
