Bronx Living Legend: Benjy Meléndez

The Bronx Living Legends series honors and celebrates accomplished Bronx artists who have made outstanding contributions to their artistic field and to their community.

On June 13, 2015, the Bronx Music Heritage Center honored Benjy Meléndez of the Ghetto Brothers as a Bronx Living Legend for his transformative work using music to inspire and to bring people together in the Bronx at a time when policymakers and lawmakers could not.
