Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra: Sublime Landscapes
Join the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra for Sublime Landscapes, conducted by David Bernard. Enjoy Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol, Copland’s Appalachian Spring Suite, and Brahms’s Symphony No. 3, showcasing the beauty and power of symphonic music. Free for ages 16 and under.

Teen Night: Solid Gold @ Brooklyn Museum
Join us for the second Teen Night of 2025, where art and activism shine through the theme of gold! Inspired by Solid Gold, an exhibition celebrating the beauty and impact of gold in art, fashion, and design, the evening will feature art-making, performances, and more.
This event is free and open to teens ages 14–19. Registration is encouraged, and follow #bkmteens on Instagram and Facebook for more details.
Teen Night is organized by the Teen Night Planning Committee, part of our paid teen internship program in public programming.

Take a trip through time—without leaving your couch! On March 11, 2–3:15 PM, join us for a fun, interactive dive into Breaking the Mold: Brooklyn Museum at 200. Explore the Museum’s fascinating history, legendary artworks, and hidden gems—all from the comfort of home. Perfect for individuals with memory loss and their care partners. Celebrate Lunar New Year with the family at this free drop-in program, in collaboration with Cool Culture. Create art inspired by the Museum's collection and enjoy a lion dance performance by the Chinese Freemasons Athletic Club at 3 pm. Free with Museum admission. Performance: Laura Ortman
Experience an immersive soundscape by violinist and composer Laura Ortman (White Mountain Apache). Presented in conjunction with The Brooklyn Artists Exhibition, Ortman’s work reflects on the concept of home. The soundscape incorporates recent field recordings from Brooklyn—captured between the Brooklyn Museum and her home on Flatbush Avenue—and blends them with live, improvised music featuring Apache violin, bells, whistles, voice, tambourine, and triangle.

Share the Toy: Fifth Annual Toy Drive and Giveaway
Spread the holiday cheer by joining our 5th Annual Toy Drive! From November 21 to December 15, drop off new, unwrapped toys for children ages 0–14 at the Admissions Desk.
On Sunday, December 15, from 11 AM–2 PM, pick up gifts for your little ones while supplies last. Remaining toys will be donated to local family shelters.
Free and open to all, in partnership with the Kinnect Foundation.

Holiday Market with Brooklyn Pop-Up
Visit our Holiday Market, cohosted with Brooklyn Pop-Up, and discover unique, handmade treasures from local artisans. Browse artwork, jewelry, fashion, home goods, and more! Enjoy caroling by a cappella group VocalSouL on December 21–22 from 2:30–3 PM.

Eighteenth Annual Brooklyn Children’s Book Fair @ The Brooklyn Museum
Calling all young book lovers! Join us for a free, fun-filled day with over 40 Brooklyn authors and illustrators sharing their latest storybooks, chapter books, picture books, and graphic novels—perfect for preschool to middle school readers. Discover books on exciting topics like Mars, trains, ABCs, and even a famous dog, with selections in Hindi and Mandarin too!
Enjoy live readings, watch artists sketch, get books signed, and dive into book-inspired art projects. It’s a day to celebrate stories and meet the creators behind them!

Salsa Party @ The Brooklyn Museum
Celebrate the art of salsa and join in our monthly dance-filled evenings hosted by Balmir Dance Society! Start the night with a class led by professional dancers at 6 pm, followed by live music, social dancing, and performances by Brooklyn’s best Latin dance teams.
This program is free; registration is encouraged. Admission is limited and first come, first served.

Summer Jazz: Siren Xypher
Swing by the Brooklyn Museum’s lobby in September for a jazz performance by Siren Xypher! This dynamic trio—Melanie Dyer (viola), Mara Rosenbloom (piano), and Kyoko Kitamura (vocals)—brings together art songs, spoken word, and improvisation for an evening of intricate, original music. Experience their unique blend of humor, warmth, and surprise. Presented in partnership with the Jazz Foundation of America.

Summer Jazz: Rachiim Ausar-Sahu and Jazz/Espiritu
Stop by the Museum’s lobby for performances by some of the city’s best jazz musicians. In August, enjoy an afternoon of spiritual jazz in the tradition of honored musical elders and ancestors. Led by acclaimed bassist and composer Rachiim Ausar-Sahu, a Brooklyn native, the Jazz/Espiritu ensemble features drummer Will Calhoun, percussionist Chief Baba Neil Clarke, keyboardist Brandon McCune, multi-reedist Irwin Hall, and vibraphonist Bryan Carrott. Presented in partnership with Jazz Foundation of America.
